Doing what exactly?

There are a lot of different things, are you looking it from the production side of things or the presentation side of things?

Mate if you can get in with the ABC then you got it made! their training is legendary & if you were ever to leave you could get a job within the industry with ease... my X wife used to work there & it was the easiest work & best pay & conditions

haha thats funny..... dont really have chit chat ... but she is a prison screw now... sorta fell off the rails & decided to be different
What a freekin waste.... she is chasing big bucks from heaps of overtime
available from her new job
So spose I cant help you in that regard.... but I do know its hard to get in but once in you can move around doing all sorts of different stuff & that keeps it interesting. I guess lots of homework will be needed & try to find out how they advertise their jobs.... every position has to be made available to outside applicants but in most cases someone internal gets the position... its a bit hard like I said..... the ex only got in because of a mate working there put in a good word & the she was way over qualified for the position! she spent 13 years there i think.

My girlfriend used to work for the ABC and left after 5 years.

She was on the presentation side of things and was paid a pittance compared to similar work for commercial TV. The pay is crap (TV presenters on ~60K a year, working 45 hour weeks!!).

She's now doing PR work and earning more money, not to mention a lot less stressed.

From her (and others) experience the ABC is a highly politicised work place which means you wont always get promoted due to skill but rather on who you know. This is true for almost all work places but seems much more ingrained there.

Still it might be a good place to get your foot in the door and build up some experience

as the old saying goes... "its not what u know but who u blow" rings very true in alot of corporate and media related industry.
Its not a commitment for life Nucci, unless i really like it... i cant picture myself stayin in one place my whole life and doin the same shit for 20 years+
all experience is good experience whether it be bad or good... i hope i get more of the good but
