Radiator Repairers
Radiator Repairers
My ride over Mt Mee came to an inglorious early finish yesterday with a stone rupturing a hole in my 12R radiator, which promptly leaked green fluid (would that be Kawasaki blood???). Being carted home on the back of a tow truck was just a tad humiliating, made worse by my BMW K1200S riding mate chirping on how i should sell my "jap crap" and buy a "bavarian beast" - I've so got to get new friends!
Enough waffling...has anyone got a recommended radiator repairer in Brisbane area (preferably northside).

A guy I know, rides a ZX12, got 2 stone holes in his radiator. Slacks Creek Radiators on Moss St repaired if for $55 in an afternoon, and another guy had three holes repaired for $90. Both guys speak highly of the service of the shop, as well.
Cheers,
Anne

Thanks for the tip.
I took the radiator to Slacks Creek Rad (moss st). They welded the hole up, straightened out the fins and sprayed it black. Looks good as new. Cost $60, so i'm happy with that - far cheaper than a replacement.
It took a couple of hours fitting it back in and replumbing - but all is good as new.
