I really hope it's just a rumour and not fact! All we need is competition to be reduced and prices to rise. Plus I have a few good friends in that organisation. :(

I don't see how this could happen. They were charging a premium for their track days/rider training. Who is getting the money if they can't stay solvent. Are the owners of the tracks asking too much or are the mob running the track days/rider training charging too much and not getting the numbers. I recently did a couple of days at Phillip Island and thought they were overcharging but it was still a full couple of days. There were no spare slots in the numbers for each day. I say bring back the old 'open market' and let the punters have their say. If its too expensive, they wont get the numbers, if its the right price all the days will be full and if the operators can't operate within that scale then theres something wrong with the operators or how much the owners fo the facilities are charging. Or maybe its how much the operators are taking out of the whole thing.

Don't they have a monopoly over EC & PI? Wouldn't that mean there is no competition at the moment anyway?

You are correct, however it would be foolish to think that as the remaining operators who would then have no competition would not increase their prices too.

well if more operators had access to EC and PI then in the prices for days at those tracks would be more competitive.

Maybe all the staff quit cause they want to start their own school.

I'd find it pretty remarkable if they weren't making a quid, albeit their overheads would be fairly enormous compared to other operators ie Circuit Breakers etc. The superbike school's been going for ages and all they've really done is take a monopoloy over EC and PI rdie days so I'd be surpised if they weren't doing alright. If they were struggling you'd think the first thing they would've done would be to get their prices up.

Alternatively maybe they've let some people go.

I wouldn't worry too much yet
