Yeah I agree with MadKaw, second hand slicks are fine.

I did my first race meeting on well worn seconds and they still gripped better than road tyres ever could have.

BTW, you (or whoever informed you) have the Bridgestone tyres sizes written down wrong; they are currently 120/600 and 190/645, in which the 600 number is the total height of the tyre in mm, instead of the aspect ratio like Dunlop or Pirelli use. The 125/600 and 190/640 are an older tyre type, from before the end of 2005 (from memory). I don't know what height the 180 rears are though.

Like I said on Trakdaze, I have used all three brands of slicks and they are all good.

They still do the 640 and the 645, the 640 is actually 185 wide and the 645 a 190...
Although they may not bring both of em into Aus..

Oh Ok, although I would wonder why they still do the 640, it is old tech, mind you it didn't feel much different to the new 645....

Anyway in QLD we just get the 190/645 now.
