Ever seen a Kitty Kat do 185 kph ?
I had my first experience last night at the Drags.... I am addicted and can't wait til next time....
Unfortunately due to an oil spill we only got 2 runs in.... I was so nervous the first run I thought I was goin to stall so take off was a little slow... Second run was ALOT better! I wish there was more time to do more runs - I reckon I could have got that time lower and lower every time...
My competitor in the other lane is a friend of mine Eve on a Aprilia RSV1000R... Last night was her first time also...
I did a 12.788, Evie ran a 11.803.
Video of the 2nd run:

Yeah the Drags is heaps of fun. I got 11.0 at 137MPH out of my R1, starting in 2nd gear with the front lifting too much. I am keen to get down there again and get into the 10s, which should be easy if only I can keep the front down.
The sportbike shootout is really good, you pay I think $45 and it starts in the arvo, goes for a few hours and then you can stay on to do more runs in the test n tune for no extra charge.
I really need to get out and have another go at it.

They have the Sportsbike Shootouts every month or two. Several of local forums (Brisbane Bikers and Weekend Riders) have many members that go along. I believe that the organisers of the Sportsbike Shootouts are having problems finding a new sponsor, so the future of the event is uncertain.[/url]
