how often do you check your tyre pressure?

Post by rocco »

just got a copy of the vic roads dvd about ring the GOR.

The guys mentioned a pre flight check andone item was tyres. Though this is a very good tip by them does anyone really check their tyre pressure before every ride?

I know i check my indicators and brakes but to be honest never both with the tyres.

What pre flights checks do you guys/gals do and do you do it everytime you venture out for a ride or do you just hop on and ride away?

I check mine when they feel low...

the only pre flight testing I do is to see if the motor starts!

I check mine once a week, usually before I go for a blat somewhere.

I keep a pressure gauge in the underseat storage and check them before I set off while tyres are cold, then if they need more air I go to the nearest servo and top them off there using my own gauge to guide me.

I check them every ride, but then again I am riding only every other week at the moment. If I was riding daily I'd check them twice weekly.

Before every ride but I don't ride every day. If I did, probably once a week

I ride every day.
I check mine either when they feel low, or every few weeks - whichever comes first.

When I was riding every day I did all my checks once a week when I washed it. Now I am riding sporadically, I check every time I ride.

Never....... Tyre pressure is for little girls and men who've just had their ears ripped off.
