Well I can quite comfortably say that I have never gone out on the bike without a minimum of jacket, helmet, gloves, jeans (usually draggins) and boots...in temperatures up to 39 celcius. The one time I have come off (touch wood) I had all that on but regular jeans and spent a couple of months waiting for the skin on my knee to grow back. Everything else was fine.

...and I think the filenames were quite appropriate!

I almost always leave gloves off until after I get to servo to fill up bike b4 ride, then on with the gloves.

I must say that being a slower rider and careful as all farrk, it still means get the gloves on for me cos the stupid cages are gunna test ya riding skills.

I have to admit I'm a prime Numero-Uno A-Grade coward where my skin is concerned, and risk management or not, I NEVER go out without the full kit. The kit may be Draggins, jacket, helmet, boots and gloves in 40 degree temperatures, but as someone remarked in a previous post, they're easier to replace than skin. However, each to their own. I'm not advocating it's what everyone should do, it's just what I do...

Hope he gets better soon, they look bloody sore...and his pride and joy looks pretty sad as well.

I have only ridden without gloves once, and it was last Saturday. I left my bike at a friends, about 3km away. I brought my helmet, gloves and jacket back the night before, but forgot to grab my gloves when I went to pick it up. I felt positively naked and didn't like the feeling one little bit. Next time I will be sure to lock the gloves under the seat.
