I think (not sure) that the Monaro was named after the Monaro mall in Canberra. I wonder if it is still there?

Monaro is an old koori word for the whole SE NSW region - I think it translates to " Cold shithouse high country " or something like that....

Monaro Mall ?? Mate, its been history for almost 20 years. Its now "The Canberra Centre", its pretty big and getting bigger.........Civic is all shops and no car-spaces now....
