Don't like the idea, get a cage... or find aftermarket stuff suitable for cage and bike, eg oil filters, pay $20 odd at a bike shop for the genuine or call Ryco for the equivalent cage type and get it at Repco for $5

Same with oil, buy it from a bike shop at some stupid pice or at K-Mart/Servo for some cheaper price, K-Mart might be p[ushing as they don't really know what amotorbike is but a servo stocks a fair range of oils

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

jeeze rusty where are you shopping? you sure its not rustys midnight sky-mask specials?
Every time I ask the chick at kawakasaki she keeps asking me if i'm sitting down and again blows my socks off with a ridiculous price.
BTW I'd say a genuinue carb kits for the zx9 would be over 300, if the diaphragms are each 220 alone. and the floats valves 100 a piece, just lucky i found them (float valves) on ebay.
Kick ass US supplier, got them in 5 days including the weekend, ordered the 3rd, arrived on the 8th
wouldn't get oil from a car, i once put car synthetic oil in my across, consumption went from 200 km per tank to 140. couldn't have been good for the bike either.

nah its not real good for it..the clutch would be a mess.... bike oils have different components due to the fact the oil runs the box and clutch as well, means different friction modifiers etc...wisc wrote:wouldn't get oil from a car, i once put car synthetic oil in my across, consumption went from 200 km per tank to 140. couldn't have been good for the bike either.

Vote with your feet, as some people already have, and source your stuff overseas, where its generally way cheaper, no middle man to deal with.
