I have never done 240kph on 2000 zx6r, and I never confirm by the GPS it's 220kph true speed.

all indicated speeds

06 GSXR 1000 - 292 at PI down the chute on stock gearing
02 ZX9 - 280 at PI
98 ZX9 - 270 at EC
?? VTR250 - 158

the GSXR is now one tooth down on the front so the speedo is well and truly out but suffice to say, it doesnt take long at all to hit 299.

ZX7R - 240
ZX9R - Dreamt i did 295 indicated on the Oxley

ZX12R - Hermmmm, im not sure, the speedo needle was pointing at a bit past 5 oclock on the dial, and 280 is at 4 oclock, this was a hectic dream of course

Indicated I think?
Need attention to the speed I'm going after 150 or so, apparently supposed to be watching where I'm going!
113/114 in 1st
163? in 2nd
195? in 3rd
236? in 4th
255? in 5th
263? in 6th

I can check tomorrow?
I can confirm that number, 265 on mine, perhaps just a longer road.... If I would have had more road/time I could have gone a bit higher...

99' TLR 285 - kmph (on speedo, may have been out a smidge)

99' ZX7 - 270kmph

All done off road* and in controlled environments

'95 ZX6R - 240 indicated - took a lot of convincing to get there from 230 and had nothing more, though was loaded up with big-arse ventura bag and tank bag. The person following was indicating 235.

ye ole '92 ZZR-250 topped out at 160... never tested the ER-5's top speed, it saw 170 and had plenty more to go, but ran out of road.

and a good thing too, you would have *shat* if you seen how quickly I was catching up to you !!!!

glad I got new rear pads before that trip.....

Only cos I backed off when I maxed out to let you past again

I figured out what my speedo would've read if it only had the correction for the change in gearing in the speedohealer (i.e. what it would have as the "indicated" speed instead of the true speed with my GPS correction in there as well) and it came out the same as what you saw on yours when we talked about it at the stop 8)

I think the bag on the back was the limiting factor in the end

All indicated speeds (eg inaccurate)
  • Suzuki RG125 - 160  (down a cliff with a hurrican behind it)
Kwacky GPZ900R 220 (and still pulling like a train :P)
Kwacky ZX6RJ1 270 on a very very long straight bit of out-back, 240 at PI
Suzuki SV650S 212 at PI using standard gearing (hitting the rev-limiter in 5th, lower gearing will help)
Motorcycle's are inherently unstable...

230 on the 2004 Z1K.
It's waaaaaay too windy at those speeds and I must've looked like an Indian waiter, suffering from arthritis.....
It was still pulling like a train though....

I can't reach top-speed at EC, the straight is too short, maybe a ride day at PI would do the trick ?

*sigh* wish I had an unrestricted 12.............
