A mate of a mate is a pretty shit-hot bike mechanic and runs his own shop in Toowoomba. He recently got a VF750S (I think- shaft drive 750 VF) into his shop. Total piece of shit but owner wants to get it on the road. The left hand side frame rail takes coolant from the engine to the radiator. The right side does nothing but hold the engine in.
Old mate says to me see what you can find wrong with the frame- I had a brief look but couldn't see anything wrong- no cracks or major bends. Then he said get down on the ground and have a look UNDERNEATH the right hand frame rail- holy shit- rusted through. A section of about 4 inches missing the bottom half of the rail!

Owner is going to bog it up for roadworthy!

Mechanic said he could put a lever between the frame and engine and flex the frame!
I wonder what other steel-framed bikes have this problem?
