ZZR

Post by RobertR »

Hey guys, my ZZR 250 engine has packed it in... something about my conrod and my crankshaft, but only option is to replace the entire engine.

If anyone, actually has a ZZR 250 engine, or knows any good motorbike wreckers around the upper hunter It would be appreciated. Until then UI shall keep my eye on ebay and the trading post!

Hmm yes I agree... but its 10 months till my blacks...

But I was planning on trading it in ASAP when I was off restrictions, so I might just leave it, get my Car P's and wait.

Zx6 sounds nice...

But 10 months without a bike.. :S I dunno.

I can only imagine it was run low on oil, these things go forever!

Just keep an eye out for a crashed one, they come up cheap now and then.

I think a GPX engine should fit in as well as they are both the same engine.
Check http://www.motorcycledisposals.com.au.
They usually have some wrecked ZZR's and GPX's.

Starved of oil indeed...

Due to my lack of responisiblity for not checking the oil, and a small leak, she was down to 50ml's when she packed it in.

 thats a bit low..............mind you, I have let the oil level drop to <1 litre on the Pearl sometimes....... :x .........she just gets a bit 'tappety' up top, and that's the reminder to change the oil.......(4 litre capacity with filter change, its the same as a V8 !! )
