Just thinking...
...PayPal slurps money out of your credit card, converts to a foreign currency, then lobs it OS.
Fraudulent credit card transactions can be reversed under many circumstances.
I had an instance where I switched ISP's, and the old mob, with whom I had a direct debit coming off my credit card set up, ignored my requests to cut off my access and stop taking my money.
This went on for a while. I finally gave the bank a call, spoke to a nice lady in her 30's. She gave me a fax number, I faxed her copies of a couple of my credit card statements with the disputed transactions circled, along with the printouts of a couple of the emails I sent to the ISP threatening decapitation with a chainsaw, and, lo and behold, I got my money back.

around this time lots of people (including I) were reselling ipods after getting them as cheap refurbs from apple. prob is people were selling 20 units a day and then ordering them from apple once sold , which was fine. i only sold around 50 and then apple sold out but people still had thousands of adds they left on ebayRatmick wrote:The just sucks, and eBay does farking diddly squat and has some micro-farking-scopic limit to how much they will reimburse you.Blue14 wrote:The feedback was great when i ordered.. Then went downhill, and then settled again.. Now i want to give them some of my feedback..
I am just coming off the same experience with a woman called Kristy Milloy in Sydney (from Bexley or Botany if anyone knows her) who sold about a dozen 60Gb and 80Gb iPods, and assorted Navman units in early March.
She had 100% Feedback. Supposedly her mum passed away, now she's reneged on the whole lot, doesn't respond to email, cleared her store out, home phone has been disconnected. I'm guessing the bitch has done a runner, alas she owes me $380.
I can think of other ways of recouping $380 if I ever catch up with her...

That was probably my tracking number that he sent you.Blue14 wrote:Well i have had to lodge an official dispute / claim with paypal today.
I was given a shipping no about 8 days ago and today i find out that no was for a shipment to Brissy somwhere.![]()
The dog has got my money and i have no parts..![]()
I have been scammed here, and now the ebay site doesnt even have anything for sale. Next i assume will be no longer registered..![]()
Who knows if i will ever see anything or if i will ever see my money again.'
I could not be more dissatisfied with this group...
I too got the same generic emails that you guys received, I kept pushing and pushing for more details as to where they were and what was happening. Still I received no communication, so the only remaining option was to put in a dispute through ebay and paypal, so I did.
Even then it took a couple of days before he responded, and then I finally received the tracking number, which was obviously sent to Paul as well. I was still sure that I had been ripped off, and wouldn't be satisfied until they landed at my door if they ever did. Monday this week they arrived, lets just say I was very relieved. After 4 weeks of no communication since I had paid for the pipes I wasn't happy.
Pipes were in perfect condition still in original packaging from Two Bros, put them on and I was in love, they sound so good.

I wish you guys all the best in getting a refund and find some new cans.

i heard of a mate over here kicking and screaming cos his gear (forks or pipes or sumthin) didnt arrive..it was abt $2k worth..so he put a dispute in place...
so he gets his refund, then 2 days later the gear turns up..so he stuffs them around for a month before he pays it back...i think he paid it back...lol

Blue / Portaz - boys I am really glad you are getting a refund - maybe that will restore a bit of faith in *the system* - because you will need it for any more purchases off ebay !!
Sometimes the expectations that people have about 'delivery times' are not the same as the reality. I have also waited for a month for stuff from the US, but thats due to the type of postage used by the seller - they often use the cheapest, which of course takes longer. In this case, I knew it was a 4-6 week wait, it took 5 weeks exactly.....
One of the hardest things about buying anything from the US is *the wait*........as long as you have clear instructions to the seller about the type of mail service you want to use, and expected dates etc, that is a good start.
