Somehow I think there would be a lot of do-gooders up in arms if they tried to use that add over here!!

Funny you should mention that... the URL at the bottom of the ad is the homepage for Kawasaki's Taiwanese importer, and the last time I heard or read anything about it, bikes in excess of 250cc were banned there...

They must've seen the light...

It's also a bit strange that they're claiming the original, unrestricted ZX-12R, which reliably exceeded 300kph in stock trim, to be slower than the restricted-to-300kph ZX14.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

:? that is weird...the original 12 was tested by AMCN and they got 312kmh at Avalon Airfield back in 2000 ?? even the German mags tested it on the autobahn at >310kmh or thereabouts.....

and only 200 for an original Z1 ??

It took huge balls to ride a stock Z1 to 200, much more than you need to take a ZZR1400 out to 300kmh.....

I saw 265 indicated on my ZX10 Wattie. It didn't take too long to get there and still had some to go!

Cheers,
Pete

A hinge? For real? Because, I've been led to believe it was really more of a gimbal or a ball joint...
