Nice to see both Johnno and Maxwell in the top 6. Johnson was actually fastest in one of the sessions. I'm assuming Gobert has crashed and got injured as I haven't seen his name on the timesheets since the first day. Bugger. Here's hoping for a good Sunday.

Solid weekend for team Kawa
Both riders in the top 5 in Superbike race 1 with Johnson a strong third and Maxwell 5th and Wayne backed up with the same result in race 2. Johnson was 11th in race 2. Gobert was out for the weekend after an engine blowup on the Friday.
Supersport, both riders were in the top 10 in race one with Johnson an encouraging 6th and Maxwell not too far behind in 9th. The second race was not so good with Wayne finishing 15th and Shannon DNFing.

shannon johnson suffered a horrible hand injury when he got caught up in gareth jones's off in the supersport race. broken/dislocated middle finger and a HUGE chunk of skin missing
how he managed to ride with his hand in the condition it was - let alone finish 10th is a bloody miracle. maxwell had a great race long dice with glen allerton who had qualified on the front row

supersport lap record was lowered by OVER 1 SECOND during this weekend. the pace in supersport is just insane, considering the riders and team have had limited time to develop the bike for the dungplops i think they are doing well.
bear in mind the extent of engine modes is a thinner gasket to raise compression, no cams or anything like that yet. should have the engine to full supersport spec by tassie - watch out then

Gobert should be able to get a new engine under warranty shouldn't he.Zoidberg wrote:Solid weekend for team Kawa

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
