Randy's home!! - Pics

Post by Bluefly »

I got Randy home yesterday. He was incredibly well-behaved getting into the truck and putting up with the 40km trip home from the towyard - despite having no front or back brake and steering being limited due to fairing stay bracket being in the way.....

He's got no ignition barrel (how would they have started him?) and the seat compartment & petrol tank locks have been drilled out.

Here's some photos:

Box of bits that they gave me at the towyard and said were with the bike. They're not 7R fairing though!

rear view. Looks worse than it is. The bit in the middle slotted back in fine and all looks straight.

Whoever took him must've put this "Black Duck Valley" sticker on him at some stage, then taken it off. And slapped some gray paint on the frame for some reason.

She'll be fine...great excuse to paint the frame black, the fairings green (with the obligatory white number boards) and fit a full stainless Yoshi on it.
Motorcycle's are inherently unstable...

That's sad to see Bobbi, but at least we know by the drilled locks that the rider knew it was stolen and got their come-up-ence.

Is it worth fixing, or buy another zx7 and use him for spares?

Read the other thread, the idiot was doing god knows what and threw himself and the bike down the road, unfortunately he can't be wrecked for parts.
