YIP YAH !!!

another old shitter to fix !!!!

Well done Mick, I knew it was only a matter of time before we got your arse onto a *REAL* muddaboike :P :P

That looks pretty good from the photos, the front disc has some sort of home-made pattern happening there, and wouldn't you know it, I have another front disc and caliper just hanging around

Don't forget, if you join up with the local branch of the VJMC, you can get concessional rego for 12 months for the ' Silver Surfer' , for about $70 p.a

Weekends, occasional weekdays, i/state runs etc, no worries. Tell the Minister for War and Finance that the money saved on normal rego can pay for all the bits.....

:D

Too right....but it's gotta teach me how to fix old bikes first

...after spending a fair bit of time cleaning out the gummed up fuel bowls, I chucked bit of fuel in the tank, opened the fuel tap with a screwdriver, and watched it all pour out of number 3 carby's overflow

....and that was after discovering that there is a short somewhere in the elektrickery that's been flattening the battery

Top stuff mick.. Cosmetically it does look like it's in pretty good nick... The write up you gave it i was expecting a shitter that needed to be stripped down and re-built.

Top stuff mate, have fun!!!

It could definitely have been a lot worse. I managed to get the engine running yesterday. It's was pretty rough, but I reckon a tune up and maybe a second going over the carbs should sort that.

I'm already making plans for stage two of the fix up and I've barely started stage one (getting rego)....bugger, I think I've caught the bug
