well i have a van with a hydraulic hoist, they are very popular with wheelchairs but it doesnt work too well with flat ground you have to find a bit of a slope or a gutter somewhere.

I drive them for a living, its a old one that has been taken off the road as a taxi and was a bit beat up for a quick sale so i use it as a run around.

You can use a 6 x 4 box trailer with either the gate down or the bike diagonally. Thats what mine us but it has been modded with the sides widened and pressed up steel tracks to fit 2 bikes length ways. The tail gate has to be down though so the number plate is screwed to the thin top bit of the tail gate...
I have a timber ramp with checker plate screwed to it to push the bike into the trailer.
A 7 x 4 or propper bike trailer would be the go... I prefer the box trailers as they have a floor and can be used for other stuff...

Dave
Is that the one you bought when you picked up the zx9r ?
Neka you got pic's ??
Me I'm still working on mine.
I have a three bike trailer thats only good for trail bikes, old and lightweight
and I can use my 7'x4' 4X4 trailer which has a ramp and channel to hold my bike in the middle but I'm working on an enclosed one that I can keep out of the weather in if need be

re: Bike trailers " For transporting"
a bit hard to follow your question but it think you asked how do you get the bike in the trailer ?
me i use a ramp for either the bike or van
i stand beside the bike and run the bike in 1st gear to 'drive' it up the ramp , no pushing or busting your back
and only need 1 person
from there i put onto the side stand and get the straps out and away you go, strap it down and in the upright position and all is good
