Hey all,
well I've been hiding this for a week but my conscious is killing me. I gave in and sold the 10R and the 6R and got an R1. I tried and tried to setup the 06/07 10R up to be what I would like to ride, but the R1 was just a better product for me.
Its sad, but on the other hand, I'm loving the R1. Sadly, its not green and all my gear, jacket and helmet dont match anymore...
Anyway, hope I dont get ex-communicated for this (or worse). Still held on to my plates (DZX-10) for when I can throw my leg over another ZX10r... Just not in the next few years...
Cheers,
kypez.

An R1 eh?. The gay mans ZX10.
Just kidding mate. Congrat's on the new bike even if it is a stinky Yamaha.

So what's so good about Kawasakis? The other brands perform better on the racetrack and in the showroom but for some reason a lot of you guys say they suck.
Kawasakis seem to make a smidgen more power than other comparable bikes but they seem to have worse suspension.
What's so bad about the others?

A couple of sarcastic tongue in cheek comments must be expected, as this is a Kawasaki forum after all...

Its all in good humour.
Same as it would be if posted how great your ford is on a holden forum. or substitute any brand name or sports team and there competitor...

tough crowd...
lol...
yeah... I really wanted a ZX10... I tried.... trust me... I tried everything I could to get the 10 to give me better feedback from the front end. I like a lot of feedback from the front and the 10 just didnt do it... The 04 did which is why I bought it. The R1 does too... That with the new trick bits on the R1, it just seemed a better buy. And the power curve is so linear, its amazing... You gotta ride one (even if you dont end up buying it). Kwakka have to play catch up again.

It's a general observation and I'm sure you're aware of it. Perhaps it's a bit of a thread hijack, but it is strongly related and I don't want to start a thread about it.MadKaw wrote: I don't see anyone saying the R1 sucks...

I think the Holden vs Ford stuff is also stupid. They (especially before the last few years) had way more similarities than differences. What's the point of vehemently arguing about something that's almost the same?
It's nothing more than mindless bigotry. Looking for something to hate.
BTW, I'm not commenting on this forum in particular or just Kawasaki riders (except for the bit about the racetrack and showroom).

R1?
Better not be black.
'cos a black R1 is like the old blue R1 - Every man and his dog's got one.
And I have a feeling that a red 1098 will be the new black R1...
If Neka can be tolerated here with his gaymobile and I can be tolerated with my espresso machine, can't see why you still won't be welcome
