over 1300 people PER DAY were caught speeding (more than 474500 over the course of the year.)
330 people died over the course of a year.
Every K over is a killer- should be nearly half a million dead Queenslanders in 2005.

would be a good start..then maybe we could move on to Tasmanians??bonester wrote:Every K over is a killer- should be nearly half a million dead Queenslanders in 2005.
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why the governments of the country continue down the "speed kills" line.HemiDuty wrote:yet somehow we as a nation keep letting them fuck us hard.

Speed increases the chance of serious injury or death in the event of an accident and in some cases it even causes the accident. But then, so does inattention, fatigue etc.
I actually think they should start a new advertising campaign. Something along this line:
"Yes, we are revenue raising. But it's voluntary. If you don't want to contribute towards the revenue, don't speed. Get the fuck over it."
And sometimes not even that.burkys_ninja wrote:Speed does't kill!! It's just the sudden stop at the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!
