Hey Mick - any idea's where this guy is? The one in Brisbane that is... gotta get the seat on the 7 done...Ratmick wrote:There's likely to be plenty of meat in the seat (the bike, not yours), how about a seat resculpt? If all you need is an inch lower they will be able to remove and replace the foam in the stock seat with a different foam OR shave the existing foam down to a more suitable shape so you can get your legs straight down to the ground rather than out to the side and then down OR they can do both. There is a few guys down in Melbourne and one in Brisbane that do this sort of thing, where is MacArthur?

Yeh, sounds like it so farNeka79 wrote:lets see...
so far weve had...
lower the suspension to its softest/lowest setting
cut the foam outta the seat
let out air from tyres
this is gunna be one very uncomfortable bike to ride!!

Outside of having my legs lengthened

The option of platform boots sounds hilarious though, especially the Bling, Bling version LMAO. But I already get a good inch out of my Rossi’s now.
Anyway I stopped in and had a quick chat with Richard from Narellan Kawasaki this morning and he's pretty sure he knows of someone. But if anybody else knows someone that does this pls let me know. Cheers

theres a guy on ocau/mc named quan-time who is a machinist in Adelaide. if your able to get an accurate drawing to him he can machine it up for a reasonable price.
Or failing you being able to get a picture to him, if you can find out the bolt diameter, the eye to eye distance and the thickness of the current bones. He may be able to work something out similar to the above picture you've got.
But at the moment i think he's uncontactable as he's heading over to philip island for the supers.

i had a check, it still sticks out a few inches from the tank, so maybe if you sat backwards.
and nah, just battery i think, electrics are on the sides.

I am about to make a set of lowering links (dogbones) for my Z1000 for the drags, I will let you know how i go with them, if it works ok I can make you a set. Otherwise all you should need to do is go to any machine shop and tell them what you want to do and they should be able to work something out.Princess wrote:

MPE engineering in Brisbane should certainly be able to help, He makes all sorts of lowering links for drag bikes.
