That's no challenge, but you're probably going to get caught. If you do 150 for ten seconds and don't speed the rest of the ride, your chances of getting caught are much smaller than if you're constantly +10 or 20 (except in Poland where the police and other drivers wouldn't blink for +20).
So yes, you can be somebody that hits 220 km/h and still say "I rarely speed".

Then I wake and slowly tottle down the motorway to work.

We all do it, but hey I don't even admit it to my wife.
Thats it.

But hey you wont get an honest answer in an open forum mate. I am guilty of speeding and if I was that concerned about it I would have sold the bike for that reason alone. I didnt buy a big bore sportsbike(tourer) to stay at the speed limit, most will do 130 in 1st gear  I got it to suit my ego  and to slide around corners
I dont speed around schools or through towns, I try not to attract the law. It attracts me  It also depends where you are, some roads never see the law, then others are littered with them. Know your roads and uesr discretion must be applied. 8)

joking :P I do not condone speeding at all, it is evil and it kills, apparently, I have never been killed so I cant tell you if speed kills.

If it did I would have been dead a few thousand times by now. Every K over is a killer, well I must be a mass murder

I was lucky in that my alternate route was the old pacific highway. You may not be so lucky, but regardless the alternate route would be safer - for you and your license.

I agree that you should use an alternate to the freeway, but what about the 100 zones on ordinary roads? I can't even get to the freeway without going through one. If I want to travel north of here the main road is a lot of 110 with the occasional passing lane. There isn't really an alternate route.

but on normal cruising, im normally within 10k over.

probably slower now.
I am pretty sure the cops get you once you hit the 10k over mark, I TRY and sit just under that.

Mario wouldn't know for 2 reason...

1. He never bloody rides..
2. His speedo cable is never connected :P

I tend to do 5-10k's over depending on the speed limit...

Because I have dropped a tooth on the front sprocket my speedo reading is 10% down. so at 100 I now do approx 5,500RPM instead of 5,000rpm and have to do about 110 to be on 100, prob just a tad under 110 is 100 I believe.

don't worry about how fast...enjoy the ride, control the throttle. Find some nice corners and stick to posted limit, cruise them. When you get on the straights relax a bit and get ready for the next set of corners..........

that's right......the pace

How fast is too fast????

About 124Km/h in a 50 Km/h zone would be my guess......gets you walking for 12 months min.
