The joys of racing...

Post by aardvark »

Well, I've never one a trophy for something I've effectively done on my own in my life. Plenty for team sports and such, but this is different.

And at my age, the last thing I expected to win was "Rookie of the year". But there ya go.

Proud as hell!!!! :D

Well done Jas.

Do you need to pass the big one on to the next Rookie of the year, looks like it's got a few names on it! Anyone well known?

Yeah, the big one is mine for a year, then I have to hand it back.

I know a few of the names, not sure about you guys. Previous rookies of the year include: (From 2005 to 1996 - in reverse order)
Kym Anderson
Chris Hudson
Paul Sandley
Scott Elliott
Kris Rowan
Les Bell
Greg Kennedy
Alex Millett
Malcolm Payne
Phil Baughan

It's certainly a big motivation boost. I just wish I could afford to go to a few more rounds in hope of getting the Period 5 points trophy!

Thanks to everyone for their support.
