kawasaki aus suck (long)
You might also need to change your Oil if it was flooding that badly, if it was washing the rings out, chances are fuel has gotten past the rings too and into the sump ?
hope you get it sorted !

thats interesting.......I use Wynns Injector cleaner in the old Z once or twice a year......sometimes it bumps the idle speed up by 2 or 300 rpm !!ttc wrote:.......The guy at Midtown said to use a fuel system cleaner, and nobody had it happen again

I am struggling to understand exactly *what* in the fuel could cause a pressure build-up like that. In the bad old days (god bless 'em), symptoms like this would be immediately blamed on a faulty fuel tap, sticky needle / seat combo, or some combination of the 2.....

Hope you get it fixed soon mate, these things can be a pain in the arse if they continue for too long...

hmmm Ok, if the injectors have been subject to some additive in the fuel......only thing I question is that the injectors can't 'stick' open, they are only on (and open) if the electricals are sending the correct signals.....ttc wrote:not a pressure build up Gos, something in the fuel like a residue, affecting the injection somehow.. thats why the fuel system cleaner......

Anyway important thing is that it sounds like it may have been fixed, this is the best news. Kwakka Oz reckon you have a bad attitude ???

Gos its either a drippy injector or its gooed up and stuck on, you get it all the time with diesels especially the ones you see blowing heaps of black smoke out the back......then theres this thing called bore washing where the oil gets mixed with fuel and doesn't lubricate so good.
unusual that a bike with 12000 kms and less than 12 months old would get this its usually caused by the vehical sitting for six months without being used or filling it with really old fuel or a diesel thats done 400000kms without a injector service.
You will have to ride it more Tanya.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
