This morning I went to work earlier (more traffic) and rode past a few km of traffic. Bloody awesome. OK, I used the bike lane, so it's not totally legal, but still very satisfying.

You have to find a happy medium between filtering and staying in your lane...
I dont find it tiring at all....
on top of that
Pt Cook to Albert Park in car = 65 mins
Pt Cook to Albert Park on bike = 40 mins
I dont filter 100% of the time.... only if traffic is going less than 30km an hour.... Too dangerous otherwise...
The world is round. It has no point.

Could it be the racer's crouch? - it's tough on your neck, you can't always rely on you mirrors when lane swapping/splitting and looking over your shoulder while in the doggy position aint easy (that's why its the favourite for wives with ugly husbands ). Do you get headaches too?
I've been doing a 75km daily commute in Sydney for the last 16 months - it's a doddle on my CB1300 (you sit bolt upright, ace mirrors, easy-going motor, oodles of low down torque), harder work on the odd occasion when I take the ZX9 - but your ZX6 has an even more extreme riding position.
- not that I'm arguing with Uncle Chop-Chop you understand.
