If I was to buy a cruiser in the near future ( which I might due to leg injury ) it'll be a VN1600 Nomad or 2000 simply because I find them comfortable , they look good and there reliable oh and half the price of a harley and there kawa's .

Actually it's been the complete opposite for me :?

I have to say though, that in general the frequency of the nod/wave from other riders has dropped, even in the last 7 years that I've been riding...kinda sad really

It is isn't it BRING BACK THE NOD I say. Most rides I end up with a sore neck from nodding

Harley riders cant help being sour

Youd be pissed at spending 30 grand on a POS with 1940's technology that shakes the fillings out of your teeth every time you start it too

and heres a worthwhile statistic too that contributes to their general outlook on life

90% of Harley Davidson Motorcycles are still on the road

the other 10% made it home
If youre living on the edge, youre taking up too much space

Can't say I've ever had an issue with a Harley rider

mate has a rocket III.
I would own one of those before a harley.

In a roll on drag from about 100 it will keep with my bike till about 200 where we backed off. shit loads of torque. comfortable, loud, looks good (imho)

Its very weird to corner though.

i like harleys too (customised ones anyway) but you gotta spend too much money on them to make them cool i reckon.

Ridden one a few times and they chug along ok but i am more excited by sports bikes.

in my dream garage though i would have a harley there somewhere (up the back).

Young kiddies want uncomfotable fast crotch rockets,

Old dudes want a lot of foam under their asses, and bikes as big as mack trucks.

You'll get there too one day... i reckon i will.

Harley riders hardly ever nod or wave around here - except for a couple of days ago when two in a row waved.
I think I'll rock down to the clubhouse and put my little pink geepee ex in their carpark (isn't that a quaint term for a bikie club) and see what happens. :D

Bloke i knew said he brought a harley because if he stayed headed down the sports bike path he'd end up dead sooner or later.

I must admit i did see his point, suffering from a lack of restraint myself.

That and sports bikes are far more comfortable to ride when your on your toes in the hills giving it the curry.

Motorways on a sports bike are like chinese water torture!
