So one drunk driver kills a motorcyclist on the wrong side of the road and is allowed to continue driving (posted a while ago).
Another one kills a motorcyclist on the wrong side of the road and gets 10 years jail.

Although I applaud this decision there's something very wrong with the justice system.
Not that I really had to point that out of course - it's obvious to everyone.

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

The other one is only being allowed to drive pending the court case, and only to get to work (yeah right  ), with any luck she'll be found guilty and get sentenced severely for what she did.

Sounds like a career criminal to me. 10 years is a pittance considering what he did and the life that he took by his actions.
Remorse or not, anything short of a life sentence is a joke.

It will be interesting to see what sentence that woman will get. This guy was pissed, high and had been on a 2 day crime spree & a high-speed police chase before killing a motorcyclist and only got 10 years.
She was only pissed and killed a motorcyclist. Sh*t she'll probably get community service and a good behaviour bond :x

I think they should set up a system where those found guilty of manslaughter, murder, incest, rape etc. Are forced to take on some sort of employment while inside, for minimal wage n %90 percent goes to the Victims n familys.
Bad enough to suffer from others acts its double whammy to struggle financially because of it.

The point most ppl have missed is yes he got 10years, but work out the time he would have received if he did not kill the motorcyclist! So realistically he did not receive a penalty for killing the motorcyclist did he?

Good call Brett, the justice system is way off. They just sit in jail and bludge from what I can see.

that other girl that killed the motorcyclist, the one that sparked the protests handed in her license after the protests... so at least she's not on the road anymore.

Good to see She is at least trying to look like she is taking some responsible actions, probably more due to legal advice though.

this guy should b banned for life, hell he should b locked up for life, with
a pic of the guy he killed stuck to his wall, a pic of the family, a pic of
the scene, and weekly visits by the family to throw blunt bread knives at
him from point blank...
now that would make for good tv too!
glad that other bitch handed in her licence too!!..wots the bet shes driving
still neway??

Yeap when she gets to court it will come up that she surrendered her licence, the judge will feel sorry for her then relise there is no law for her to be charged under!
She will drive away as all the other's have with a minimal $500 fine.
