Mate of mine did a tour of Australia on his pushbike and he encountered a bloke doing same thing on a 50cc Vespa so it's not unheard of by any means..

My Honda MTX50 (50cc bike) would do about that .... unmodified except the exhaust and filter...

i was down at a friends in Nowra about 8 months ago and was about to leave when we ran into a guy on a scooter that was decked out with all his stuff, tent, backpack, basket on the front, various bits of what nots okky strapped to the passenger seat.

Crazy German was doing about 80-150km/day (he claimed there was no sense in hurrying) and working his way around Australia. He might be arriving perth any day now at the rate he was going!
