Skating rools.

Skates are faster than inlines, but need very smooth surfaces to operate on, whereas inlines are fine on the road and such.

Rollerblading is awesome i use to do it all the time back home, cause we didnt have skate parks in Coonabarabran we use to go anywhere there was lots of concrete schools etc and 90% of the time we use to get chased out

You can do it anywhere....

I used to play Icehockey and have a pair of Roche inline blades..... Good excercise.... I have to admit they have been sitting in the cupboard for a year now...

Famous last words :D :D :D

every sport i have started i went in with that attitude of not trying to get too clever so that i didnt get hurt.

maybe thats just cause im no good at em

the only hobby that i havent done too much damage to myself is bike riding.
mainly cause i know if hurts more falling off the bike than the others

If you want to do those kind of distances, the waterfront in StKilda is great for it....

The average time for 10kms......... really depends...... My average time when I was blading regularly used to be about 25 mins....... because to maintain 20kmph is actually quite a lot of work........ But that was at the Auckland waterfront (mission bay etc) and the surface there isnt as good as stkilda....

Also, when you are outside you get a lot of wind and stuff which can make life really easy or really hard depending on the direction you are going in...

I love ice skating!!

:D

Duane and i have roller blades ( sitting comfortably in a storage facility right now ) we got them about a year ago i reckon and if you skated when you were a kid it'll take you about 30 minutes to get back into the swing of things!

My advice to you is dont take the bloody dog with you - she/he will only stop in front of you and force you harshly onto your ass!!

Oh and my other advice - maybe try something for yourself every now and then you put up a post everytime you need to make a decision or try something new - just go for it.
