What's this do?

Post by J.B »

Hey everyone, might be a n00b question but what does this switch on my '03 636 do? Moves sideways and looks like it's meant to push inwards but doesn't. Please enlighten me.

im pretty sure that is for the lap timer. ie starts/stop the timer.

i didnt think the 03 came with a lap timer so i am wondering if someone has put a later model switch block on your bike. that would explain why it does nothing.

i could be wrong though

well didn't try it with the timer on screen ('03 i'm pretty sure had them standard). if this is the case then what does the 'lap' button on the left switch block do.

Press the button on the speedo till you get to the timer 00.00.00,000

Select start on the switch block.

you press the lap button when you come round to your marker. it restarts the counter (after displaying the current lap time for 10 seconds) just the same as a split timer stop watch.
at the end of your session you can actually review all your lap times.

im pretty sure the lap timer on my bike is a bit fast ;)
