i always remembered it as 'bad boys rape only young girls but virgins go without. just as a point to note, my resistor was also a 100ohm, with a 5% tolerance. (my multimeter rated it at 102 ohm). Perhaps this wattage is important, i used the resistor out of a 99 barrel, worked on my 00 model. How would you know the wattage without taking a barrel apart? i reckon u would just buy as many 100ohm 5% toleranced resistors as u could get hold of and try them out. cheaper than taking a barrel apart (they dont come apart real easy).

the other alternative is to take the barrel into a locksmith, i was quoted $70 to get a key cut to suit the 04 zx6r barrel i showed the bloke.

$15 for 5 RS resistors and a switch turned out to be cheaper.

I tried a range of wattages and tolerances on the 6, it had to be preciecely the match to the existing resistor for the bike to start.
