Ok,i have a few. These are not complaints so much, just general things that may go against it.
Expensive on tyres, harder to keep your license on  and prolly a fair handful in the tighter stuff, hows that?

What Rod said, they EAT tyres front and rear, your licence too.
Petrol will cost MORE than a small car (I kid you not).
AND they go way too fast too easy and it doesnt feel like it which can lead to ummmmm other issues too
BUT it is better than sex (well solo sex anyway)

10's are better
Hoffy has one
10's are better
Smitty has one
10's are better
Gos has one
10's are better
did I mentions tens are better.

Sorry... a jealous 10 guy just had to get a shot in. :P

Seriously though for the money I reckon you can't go past them, (unless your on a 10  )

Oh and your license will be good for about 2 seconds which is about how long it will take to accelerate to 30k's over any speed limit you like.

Good luck with it

The only reason not to buy one is you may not like the colour. Almost all of the "B" model ZX12's are black. There are a few Blue ones around.
Seriously. They do eat tyres. As for your license they are no different to any other performance bike.
Yes they are not the best on fuel but if it is a toy then who cares. If it is for your main transport it is still compairable to a small car.
Reasons to buy one.
They are a great all purpose bike. They are a good sports bike and an exceptional long distance bike.
They look shit hot and are one of teh best bikes around.

If I had the money and a more undertanding better half I would have one by now as well.

I didn't know Duane had a 10? :? Maybe owning a 12 makes you delusional

Anyway I've got one question....what are your reasons for wanting a new bike Jamie? (i.e. what sort of riding are you going to be doing on it?)

Then we can see if the 12 can deliver.
