Nice bike. I saw an identical one today in my travels- wonder if it was yours? Wish I could remember where I saw it- went from Toowoomba, to Ipswich, to Fernvale, up Glorious, back doen to Esk, Hampton, home. Were you out today?(I think it was in Ipswich somewhere.) I was on a GT550, with a Guzzi 750 Breva. :)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

aaaahhh, the infamous first model, complete with 16" front hoop......its an '85'er right ??

My old mate up at Palmwoods had one of these as a new bike........it was sensational for the time, a 600 that could hang onto (and in some cases hose) bigger 1-litre bikes........ now how could that be ?

Yeah i wanted one of these bad when they were released, financing someone else's offspring sorta made it not happen though

Nice tidy example of a top class 80's bike. Enjoy mate, we'll see it on a ride soon i hope.

yeah it's an 85 model and it wasn't me I wasn't on it yesterday .
Iv'e had a few different 80's bikes ( as have a lot of us ) and this one would have to be the most fun and the lean angle feels amazingly stable

Its like a really short haircut - You have taken 10 years off its age !! It looks great, and should come up well with a polish.

(If you want better resolution in your pictures, and not have them auto-resized, open them in Paintshop, cut out about 90% of the photo using the 'square' cut option, just lose a bit of grass etc around the edges, save as a new file, and you should find that the new file is anywhere between 50-150kb. This size copies better into the site, and will also give much better resolution.)

Wheels look great! Your bike must be more common than I thought- I saw another one in Toowoomba a couple of days ago with an identical paintjob. Got a mate here with one too that needs finishing- he's been at it about 3 years.
