well, a few developments with the bike. through an incredible stroke of luck and coincidence i saw my bike in a garage not more than 5 blocks from my place. i got enough of a look for the police to take a statement and execute a search warrant. took some time (and will take a lot more) to sort everything out but the bike has been recovered this morning.
from what i saw they were making every effort to get her running and weren't actually stripping the parts (yet?). screen and upper left fairing were off, as well as the seats, with the ignition presumably ripped out and destroyed. i'm expecting the official call from the police later today to go and formally inspect the bike. still no idea if any bad guys have been nicked.
thanks for all the words of support and outlandish advice. be satisfied that the good guys won one this time and that some scumbags are probably on their way to the bighouse.

I'm with you - I wouldn't be calm enough to wait for the police... Hope you get her back soon and get her running again with minor effort. Hope those c#%ts get what they deserve.mitch179 wrote:mate i have no idea how u saw the bike and then contacted the cops .. i would have got out of the car and started belting the cunts with a wheel brace haha

Glad you found the bike.
Stole a bike and kept it within 5 blocks? and left the garage open to spot them? what stoopid thieves! Do they grow weed in their frontyard too?
Are you allowed to take pictures? Can you take a few pics of the idiots? I would luv to see how smart they look.
