yes dan, i bought one over a year and 32,000km ago... the missus's one was only a week and half old with just over 1000km on the clock and the thing was good enough to get me a 1:50 at the island on my first time out there in oct 05.Dan wrote:Delete this thead... yoda,
not for a while dude... i took the cage down to melb (pakenham) with the missus to see her cousin for xmas - we were at my folks place in tassie the xmas before so we did the take turns thing.. as for "not for a while" thats cuz im off to mugello, catalunya, donington park and assen in june... somebody's gotta save for that y'know...
hoping to fit in a "ducati ride experience" track day at imola too if the schedule allows for it... may end up doing another track day at PI after the europe trip too...
hoff, 12's are too big for me even tho i'm 6'2, the 9 was just right, the gixxer's just a slightly scaled down version only with more go and almost as much as the 12...

neka, yeah going to the european GP's in june - coincides with the missus wanting to go back to the UK to see her folks (as she does every 3 years) and to drag me along so i put up going to the GP's as a condition of enduring time with her folks... as for my folks, yeah they sold up and moved down to tassie - will work out pretty handy for when i'm down there next on the bikes as i'll have free lodgings to base myself out of while doing rides around tassie..
yoda, i like the 12 but for the riding i do, its just too big and heavy, and unfortunately slow.. i swapped bikes with a mate who has himself a 12 and he left me for dead even when two up. mind you, the suspension on the 12 wasnt all that great and the shock was all shot to bits so i dont know what its like now that he's spent a bit of money and gotten the suspension all fixed up.
