Well they have a version of the 12R engine and the bigger ones are built with the same species, me and a mate have been thinking along these lines as we can travel a few hundred km's a day and no speed limit out in the open water AKAIK

Not to mention slowing to check a few beaches for the scenery 8)

If you have owned a kwakka roady then I see no problem

12R motors  I remember a few years ago that the Big Mutha kwakka jet-ski had a ZZR-1100 engine (basically - a couple of minor mods), fitted inside a 4 metre fibreglass hull...........these things can pull over 80 knots FFS !!! 3-person ski's PLUS a skier behind (or 2 on the ski and 2 kids skiing  )

Hang on tight mate if you get one with a ZX12R motor in it

Jet-ski's are Phat with a capital P !! They wear you out in double-quick time though, it pays to be 21 and fit as buggery if you want big air !!

Hehe 1600cc? of grunt, based on the tight specs and quality of the 12R motor. Or so I believe.

To upgrade to any of the above you'd have to be on a tricycle or something but the question still begs..why would you?

Google up the Ultra 250 XL mate. Bored and stroked ZX14 engine out to 1500cc, then they bung on a intercooled roots supercharger. 250 ponies on the water.

That would be slightly fun.

They used to be tripple cylinder two stokes (up to 1200 cc) up until 2000. They then used a version of teh ZX12. I don't think they ever used the ZZR1100 engine.
Not that long ago 150 HP was the ultimate now that is concidered slow.

With a bloody great Hammer!!

You don't!

I said "based on the tight specs and quality of the 12R motor" I don’t think I referred to them using the actual 12R engine it self 8)

They used the knowledge of the entire machining and bore plating processes, design, specifications of materials and tolerances, and component assembly quality etc etc etc is really what I was trying to say 8)
