Got pulled over by the cops for the first time

Post by RobertR »

Was just riding along with my mate, and they overtook me and went between us. Put there lights on and signaled us over. So by this time I was nervous as hell haha but Yeh they were nice cops, just gave us a RBT and a lisence check, wished us a good night and took off.

:P

Consider that, your first "pull over son", a RBT for a 250 rider. Is that 00 in NSW for learners?

Always be nice to Mr Plod when he/she pulls ya over, some are good enough to let you off or mark your speeds down if you arn't a smartarse.

cheers

Yep, got the new RBT device thingy... were you just talk and it gets a reading. But I was sober as a judge, and always will be out on the bike.

IT is worth noting what Tape said, dont be a jerk and you MAY not get jerked, well as much as you were doing anyway.
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

No I took my helmet off whilst he was checking my license. I was about to hop off the bike but he said I didnt have too. The other cop made my mate hop off though.

I got breathalysed in Glen Innes earlier this week... he requested that I take my helmet off for it (it was one of those ones you talk into).

yea i always get asked to take lid off so they can check licence pic.... ussually they request i put it back on quick smart tho...

i have to get off my bike, turn it off and take the key out, open the compartment under the pillion seat etc to get to licence...so its a long tedious task...

I got pulled over about three years ago for an RBT on the way to work at 6:30am or so. He said dont bother takin your helmet off, let me talk into the gadget and had a peek at my license and glanced at me. I was on my way within a minute and a half, including taking gloves on and off.

New years eve and day not one pull over or RBT out on the bike on the way to, from, and during my hawk's nest trip.
