[SYD] Riding bikes on the M7

Post by Colette »

Have asked this before but never got a clear answer...

To my understanding, there are no bike tags available for use on the M7, so rather than having to constantly phone up and pay the toll after the fact, how do other M7 bike riders work around this annoying problem?

I've read somewhere you can get an epass account (It uses numberplate recognition). Normally they charge a fee for this but I read that they wave it for bikes. Get the contact details here http://www.westlinkm7.com.au

You can only do the epass through the people who run M7 (link in first post). I don't use it as I no longer live in Sydney, but I did look into it when I did.

If you ride to the left of the emergency lane when going through the toll gates, right near the wall, it does not get your plate.

tried and tested !!

sorry to highjack the thread...

Hoffy, how do u use the M4? I have been using trial and error and I find the best way to get through the toll is to jump into the lane beside another car... freaks them out a little but it works :) Is there a 'safer' way? hehe
