Draven is that pertaining to if you get nailed for excessive speeds or what? Cause I lost my license mostly for loosing too many points (lost 12 points on my P plates) and yeah most of it was all on my P plates on the car. I have bugger all points atm, but thats all just minorish stuff.

I lost it for a month due to 30kph +.... otherwise all the other suspensions were from points accumulation

Now I'm a little worried. I was just about to ride over to the girlfriends house on the bike-I think I'll take the car after all!
I think its for serious offences aswell as loosing your licence a certain amount of times in as many years....

That's in case you end up before a magistrate, I believe. Ending up before a court for speeding has always been a lottery.

ahhhhh... just went and had a look at the rta site. Thats just for SERIOUS stuff like killing people and drink driving and stuff yeah?

I got off my aggravated dangerous driving charge-dismissed from court due to lack of evidence. Other that I have just got petty stuff like 15kms over, red lights, u turns etc.

I will still drive the car till double demerits finish

The only time i've gone in the garage is to get my e-tag to use in the car. (My car is in on-street parking).

You dont want to be out riding while the griswalds are about anyway its a recipe for diaster, I just did my bit of comuting i Useually do and park it till the end of january.

Dont think they list the statistics of how many peole are out driving that catch a bus everywhere and only drive their cars to the shops and back through the week but once they have to visit aunt bessy they are lost and looking for something other than a bike.

If you keep getting busted for speeding you have to change something...I changed my jacket and now i dont get pulled over constantly by the coppers for a chat and stopped driving the cab and havnt seen many coppers doing speed related stuff for ages..they seem to do all of that out of buisness hours.

And i save warp speed for those rare occaisons when i am least 100kms from the nearest cop station. :D
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

I have yet to get any points taken. Still these kind of thing is what makes motorcycling sucks  ... along with the bloody road works.

Been commuting with my bicycle / train now and I found it very relaxing. Especially 35+ degrees days...

having the new bike i am taking it very very carefully not to speed....shit loads of marked and unmarked cars around here.......though most of the cops here are riders themselves , you cant be too carefull.

I can't wait for the double demerits to finish so I can go fanging to wisemans and the old road.
I've had my license suspended 5 times in 7 years of driving. I can't afford to have it suspended again cause I need to drive for work. Hence my fear of double demerits. If I get lose any points im suspended again..

Please take your bike out and get cault doing something illegal, speed or other "petty stuff" like jumping a red. So then you will be off the roads, making it a bit safer for others and will stop giving bikers a bad name through your actions. Thanks

I know I shouldn't have, but I went up the old road on boxing day and belted around there all day, it was great, only a handfull of bikes and not a cop in sight. The weather was fantastic too.
There was a little holiday traffic though that got heavier towards the afternoon.

Yeah they were very quiet Xmas and Boxing day morn too
Mind you how much trouble can you get into on a 150??
Apparently putting the fairings back on make a LOT of difference to how far you can mono a small 2 stroke
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

Hey! most of that stuff was on my P plates on the car. I have only been booked once on the bike and it was 15kms over on the freeway. So ner! And just for the record.... the light was yellow sir, the cops stitched me up for it.
