Sydney drivers have gone psycho!

Post by Colette »

I don't know if it's holiday fever or they've all gone troppo, but drivers on the road today were even more aggressive and crazy than usual :?

Anyone else noticed this?

Dunno about traffic today, but riding this morning (home) and tonight (to work), i was the aggressive one trying to split the hell past everyone else and get out of the shithouse traffic.

I had some wanker in a Falcon pull a U-Turn in front of my on the way home.. I ended up locking up the brakes, and he nearly hit a cyclist who was walking his bike and standing on the foot path waiting for the lights to change..

No drivers side mirror, and didn't look in his rear vision mirror the entire time I was behind him.

dip shits everywhere....

ooh man, that reminds me, i totally forgot about an incident i was involved with this morning. here in botany they have "todal flow" traffic whereby they change the topmost left bound lanes direction in peak hours to go to the right.

This means that there is a double merge, the left pair of lanes followed less than 5 meters later by the right pair. I went from the far left lane to the inner left lane a bit early to avoid getting caught out as it was busy and i was stuffed from work.

A alpha went around me to the left as a feroza went to accelerate past me to merge in front of me (i was just keeping a steady pace so everyone merged around me). I could see it coming a mile off, backed off, applied the brakes, slid the rear a little as i gave them heaps of room. The alpha tried to muscle its way past the feroza, however "bigger vehicles always win" rang true and gave up when the guy planted his fist on the gorn for about 5 seconds.

Funny enough it was the hurriedness of both of them to get past ME that caused the near miss, even though i wasnt doing anything wrong and holding back.

I must admitt that to get too and from work, i drive a Ford territory, bigger than a car but... no it still looks like a 4wd. But i do agree they have gone nuts. Truck blew it's horn from Flower Power Newbridge Rd until Henry Lawson (aprox 500m)drive after a car cut him off, what a prick

Collette, you are right!
Guy on Military Road misses the right hand turn lane, so skids (SKIDS) to a halt in traffic, and REVERSES 20m in the outside lane so he can get in the right turn lane...

Never mind he could have kept going 500m and turned right anyway...

Not Christmas..just the 2000000000 people too many on the planet.

Don't think this happens in Armidale or Maldon or Mt Gambier.

Me .. I love Christmas, even the muzak, drinks and socialising, excited kids, pressies and days off work - you just gotta shop when everyone else ain't.
Just one more law and everyone will be safe.
