RIP Wendy. I'm wishing I hadn't read the comments at the bottom of the article. There are always Total F#cking Morons who get on the speed kills and all riders are hoons bandwagon at every opportunity. There are times and places to express those opinions and this isn't it.

RIP Wendy.

We're really sorry to hear about this. I hadn't even noticed the thread. sarah just rang me to tell me. I didn't know Wendy very well and only met her through Neka and our Halls Gap trip. She did frequent KSRC from time to time prior to and for a while after that trip.

This is really sad news, and our condolenses to her Family and to her friends.

thanks guys...i really appreciate ur support...

just to clarify... wendy wasnt really my sister, but as i didnt have ne family here in SA, she adopted me just after i got here... her family is kinda non -existent...her mum & sister havent spoken to her in years (but now all of a sudden pop up in that website) since her mum abandoned her & her dad when she was young (8 ish i think)..her dad remarried when she was 12 and the step mother wouldnt let her live with them..so she lived alone from aged 12/13.... her dad passed abt 2 months ago, after suffering for abt 12 months , with wendy at his side the whole time...

she only really had her brother Daniel (and her dad) who she considered family.... the rest of her "family" was made up of her freinds......

we held a memorial yesterday at abt 20min notice...and had abt 70 ppl turn up to lay flowers at the scene, for both Wendy and the other young girl.

oh and to all who have sent emails/sms/pm etc ...i do appreciate ur support, and unless any of u are god (gee i wish he was a member here) theres not much u can do to help...

She got one last joke out of us yesterday at the momorial...as Cary was hammering the cross into the ground, she broke his hammer.... we tried to bang it in with a rock, but the rock kept breaking...

R.I.P. Wendy

Mate, I don't know what to say here. Wendy was a part of the First Halls Gap trip and helped make it the success it was.

Deepest sympathies to yourself as well as Plaz and Greeny. My thoughts are with you all.

Think most of you have my number, use it if you need too
