Netrider

Post by Stereo »

I know a few people on here are on netrider aswell...

I check it out every now and then.... There are a lot of new riders on there and it doesnt hurt to pass on a bit of experience every now and then....

In any case, do other ppl have the same problems with their site that I do? i.e. pages wont load, forums keep timing out etc?

p.s... Dan Rocks.... They should use Dan...

Yeah, I go on there...

Sometimes it works, more often it doesn't.

Apparently they have server troubles or something.

There are threads about the problem... if you can get on to look at them.

Hey stereo, yeah they've got some serious issues with the database server, it's been going on for some time now. So if you get that timeout error, hit back, copy your tex tand hit refresh.

They'll fix it, just a matter of when, unless the database totally dies in the arse.

i used to go on there a fair bit, started to get over it earlier this year and havn't really bothered since the site started going haywire.

there WAS quite a few decent peoples on there, but it seems now that most of them have moved on, leaving nothing but noobs giving other noobs advice (or safety nazis... either way, i cant be arsed with it). the server playing funny buggers was just the icing on the cake, if i liked the place, i'd probably put up with it. but since i have to browse over 50 totally uninteresting threads to find 1 interesting one now, i just give it a miss.

anyways, the place served its purpose. if not for netrider, i wouldn't have found KSRC and if not for KSRC, my ZX7 would probably not be running and certainly wouldn't have so many cool bits on it (thanks hemi  )

Its nice an easy to wind up netriders........ If you say something like "I have found that this bike becomes a bit unstable at 200kph...." they go apeshit hehehe...

well "i find my bike becomes a bit of a police magnet at above 160km/h" seems to be appropriate to wind them up with too.
