Heading to Melbourne 9th December.

Post by bonester »

A small group of us are riding to Melbourne on the 9th to attend a taping of the SBS show, Rockwiz. Going to spend a couple of days checking the place out also. Is there anything special motorcycle related worth checking out?
Only been to Melbourne twice before, and neither times did I drive or ride so will need to buy a refidex! Guessing it's similar size to Sydney.
Looking for cheap accomodation too. Will be camping on the way down. Would be happy to camp in Melbourne too if that was at all possible. :)

Bonester, I have a spare bed here you're welcome to slot into if you want. As far as motorcycling goes am sure Strika will take you for a run throhguh the spurs as he does for all our interstate visitors, then if there is time there's the GO road as well.

Might want to see if you can attend a taping fo Two Wheel torque while you're down ehre too, that's on Channel 31 so you guys wouldn't get that, motorcyclig show.
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

Thanks to everyone who I met while down in Melbourne/Canberra! (Lainie, Tones, MattB and Gosling1 and Mrs Gosling.) Had a ball and was great to meet you all. :D Pity we live so far apart. Got home this afternoon. Was a bit of a struggle in the heat. Did half of the trip in the cool of the night last night- Canberra to Gilgandra. :D Poor little GT- 4000km in seven days towing a trailer.
