A 250cc with more power than the Guttless gpx or zzr would be great for the lerners. not that it worries me now that I have my 600cc and and Im almost off my P's

That'd be a lot of fun so long as they're really light, although the gearing they'd need for a 250 road bike would knock the crap out of the KX250F donk. The 450 would be a tearer though, what a track bike 8)

Meh... the ZX-10R was on the cards since early 2001 (Kawasaki not introducing it for the 2002 model year is probably the biggest strategic mistake they ever made), and when the 636A came out, even Kawasaki themselves were alluding to it being a single-year stopgap model. There was always going to be a new ZX6 for 2003; what nobody was expecting was just what a ball-tearer it was going to be.

Honestly, real journalists don't report on rumour or conjecture. These guys', and R&Rs' penchant for speculation in the absence of real news really puts them down.
