I was going to make a smart arse comment about cameras and focussing, but that wouldn't be constructive.
Have you ever tried to shove a nail into a tyre? Takes a fair bit of effort. In fact, I'd be impressed if you could do it with your hands.
We had a bloke at work who had a bolt go through the rear rim and out the tyre from the inside. At first you'd think it was impossible, but that's just the way it was.

I don't think tyre sidewall puncture can be fixed.
But the rim itself, I would go to supercheap auto to buy that steel putty thing (hard as iron when cured).

Without seeing it,but i reckon you could fix the rim easy. The nail has put a groove in the rim and this is why the tyre is leaking.Attack the rim with a file and then smooth it with wet and dry.It doesnt have to be perfect, just smooth enough so the tyre will seal against the rim again.Maybe a good idea to get the wheel rebalanced again afterwards.

Dont take life too seriously, remember no one gets out alive!
I am going with Aardy here, you would actually have to hammer or nailgun that nail in there.
Hard to beleive that it flung up but that makes more sense than somone standing there with a hammer doing it. I mean if you took "their" spot you would do somthing other than go to your car and get a nail and hammer out ?
But it SUCH a wierd angle and spot and you ppl will live in cities full of wierdos (as opposed to country towns full of wierdos
).
Where it is like that why wouldnt they just vulcanise a patch on the inside ?
Try somewhere like Bob Jane instead of a bike shop I guess.

Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
