In that case, a suggestion... snap out of it. It doesn't take much effort to use proper, intelligible grammar to express yourself and it goes a long way to put into the mind of a prospective employer that you're an above-average candidate.Fallen_Angel wrote:Aardvark: I Cant Help It Its A Habit...
As an example, the project that I was recently on ran around the clock, with multiple shifts and a requirement for detailed reports to be left by each shift for the next; "We did this... this conked out... this other thing is going to need attention ASAP"... and so on.
This proved to be beyond the abilities of more than a couple of people who were brought on specifically for this project as team leaders, and, after a couple of days of unintelligible reports, they were demoted down to fringe team members. Instead of doing server admin work, they were pushing trolleys of PC's around.

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"

Not entirely true... it's pretty unikely that one of us is going to have a m/c mech apprenticeship vacancy laying around. In the absence of that, the next best thing is to offer some advice on how best to go about finding a job someplace else, and since the first contact between an employer and a job seeker is likely to be via email (ie. in written form), suggesting that writing properly is worth the effort is good advice.mick_dundee wrote:This thread has now been officially hijacked and has become a spelling/grammer checker topic
