i take it your not into cars then much neka? it started out with hot rodders i believe... i dunno ... google it
?
but yeah. basically restoring a car (or with rat bikes, a motorcycle), not making the body seem like its been restored though, with the cars theyre fairly customised, im not sure about bikes though.
my idea of a rat bike though is probably, crossing a streetfighter with a bucket of rust and several shades of primer
from wikipedia
and some images for you nice folk

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_rodA rat rod is usually a vehicle that has had many of its non-critical parts removed. They are usually finished in primer-like paints and are often period correct. They are very often the conglomeration of parts and pieces of different makes and models. A lot of rat rodders do not consider their cars rat rods but hot rods and prefer the term Hardcore Rod rather that "rat rod".

edit: WHOA! finally seeing goslings pics, it looks extreme, but SOOOOO fake, i mean, not fake as a bike or skeleton, but fake in that its silver, but doesnt look like metal or anything, you can tell its just a TONNE of fiberglass or moulded stuff.
