I dunno either, but it seems like they have no shame in tearing the ass out of Australian businesses.

I've been shopping there for a while, taking heart in 80% of their goods being Australian made/produced, but have to wonder where its going to end.

Just a tip for potential buyers - get in Early if you want any of this stuff. Aldi have a reputation for running out of these specials really quickly.

I will be heading down there on Thursday for a set of those $80 strides, my old wet-weather duds are well and truly rooted, for $80, with removable thermal lining  even if they only last a few seasons that is still good value in my book.

Really interesting article in The Australian a few weeks ago. It described their business model, and their philosophy. Essentially Coles and Woolworths have been operating a duopoly and Aldi is actually bringing prices down where they should have been all along.

Did you know they pay their staff up to $5/hour more than Coles and Woolies?

Anyhow...

I think we'll be getting a tank bag. Interested in the bike2bike radio thing, but dick smith have some similar items, some a bit cheaper, and one a lot dearer but has quite better range.

Definately getting the work bench, too!

How high does that tank bag go
Looks like you wouldnt need a fairing, even in a tropical down pour
You might not actually be able to SEE over it of course...

The boots look a bargain at $70 thats a third the price of what you usually pay for cheap bike boots.

Yeah i'm with Narfie on the kidney belt, put the money towards a spine protector, dont think i've ever heard of someone tearing a kidney in a "gravity test".
Pity they dont make Lung Protectors for mugpunta's like Red Dave & I .

I like tank bags, espec for touring on a sports bike as they are central, you can lie on them, they dont get in the road too much and you can still hang off a bike with one on (your arm up its side).
Just that one fully expanded looks about 2 and half foot high and you would be flat out seeing over it (I am under 6ft).
All bloody cheap but. ebay prices.
