Insurance for 05' GPX?

Post by alexpacer »

Hi all,

My insurance for my 05' GPX is going to expire soon, I'm now with racv... I wanted to change insurance company because i felt it is a bit expensive for my bike and my car. I've aready changed my car to aami and felt okay with it. but I'd like to know more info from anyone. Has anyone insured gpx before? If so how much did you paid for a comperhensive and 3rd party?

currently i think i'm paying $570 something (can't remember exact cos i'm at office) for comp. Heard of any better deals :?:

I'll call some insurance i know to check it out this week, thought post here to get ideas too

Many thanks in advance.

My bike was the very first time I have had insurance in my name and even for the first year on restriction it didn't cost that much  . Was still in the $300. I would call them and ask why and how come and shop around more in that case. $555 is a big difference  . Granted to though your bike is newer than mine but shesssh

oh sorry about that, I've just turned 26 this month. I've been riding for a year and had no insurance claim for cars and bikes so far.

I bought my 05' gpx new and could that be the reason?

being under 30 will be against you.. But if you are rating 1 and all the crap you should be able to get it a bit cheaper.. Try WQBE or Swann..

Thanks guys, after calling some companies i finally found the lowest price for me, western qbe qouted $360 for premium.

What happened was that i called them and get a quick qoute, but it is about the same as racv or aami. Then had to go my office to pickup something and thought maybe might as well speak to a person in their receiption see how it goes. So I went down their office and they quoted me for better price because the person over the phone I spoken eariler before was doing this quote thing so rush and just ignored something they may save me $$.

man I felt lucky :)
