2007 Yamaha R1

Post by QLDZX6R »

From motorcyclenews website these are official pics of the 07 model R1,as predicted similar style to R6. Notice the original red&white colour scheme has returned but the black looks so hot  Not much info yet on specs...

Looks like they had no styling budget and got the old fairings and glued on those air intakes.

What's with all the new bikes having 'gaps' in the front of the fairings? They following Ducati's lead with floating plastics? :?

HeHe,apparently those side-fairings on the R6 are pretty tricky and time consuming to get off-hidden screws and all, you'd hope they've changed it for the R1

Headlamp styling looks better than on the kawa 14's though (not much doesn't).

floating plastics, mmm it'd take time to get used to them, but i prefer them to the george foreman grill on the side of the 14.

Are they Pirelli Corsas they come with standard now? Gotta be better than the Dunlops.

Yep quite nice, not quite as good looking as the R6 though.

Looks the best in black IMHO as those huge side panels are not quite so huge.

Not sure why the indictors aren't built into the mirrors, they look a bit silly on the sides

Don't think much of those air-intakes...mess up some very nice headlights, maybe they should have gone for a central air inlet instead
Motorcycle's are inherently unstable...
